Why should I come to safeTALK? In only a few hours, you will learn how to provide practical help to persons with thoughts of suicide. Expect to leave safeTALK more willing and able to perform an important helping role for persons with thoughts of suicide.

July Health Closings

The AST Health System will be closed Monday, July 4th for Independence Day. The PlusCare Clinic will be open holiday hours on Monday, July 4th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last walk-in appointment at 4:30 PM).

The AST Health System will be closed Wednesday, July 6th for administrative purposes from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM including PlusCare. PlusCare will re-open at 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM (last walk-in appointment at 8:30 PM).

The AST Health System will not see patients Friday, July 15th due to the AST Health Fair. PlusCare will open at 9:00 AM but will close from Noon to 5 PM and re-open at 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM (last walk-in appointment at 8:30).

Camp Nikoti 2016

Sign-Ups:
Youth must be signed up by Friday, May 27th, at 5:00 p.m.
We will then contact the parent/guardian to set up an interview to fill out paperwork.
Due to time constraints interview times WILL NOT be rescheduled so please make sure you can make your interview time slot.

*Last Week of Camp we will go Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday!

(MUST be 11 y/o by June 14th!)

Transportation:
Tecumseh/Shawnee area youth will be picked up at the AST Complex @ 8:30 a.m. SHARP! We will be returning at 4:30 p.m. (Space is Limited)

What is Zika? Zika is a viral disease caused by the Zika virus.

Where does Zika occur? Zika occurs in many tropical and sub-tropical areas of the world, particularly in Africa, Southeast Asia, and islands in the Pacific Ocean. The first report of local transmission of Zika virus in the Western Hemisphere occurred in Brazil during May 2015. Since that time, local transmission has been identified in numerous countries and territories in the Americas. Local transmission of Zika virus is not currently occurring in the United States; however, cases have been reported among individuals who have traveled outside the U.S. to affected areas.
