There are many different cultural groups in Oklahoma
Multicultural Family Fair celebrates them all!

Sunday June 12, 2016 1-5 p.m.

St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, Oklahoma

• Fun for the whole family

Our cultures include the five tribal groups centered in the greater Shawnee area, but also all of our Oklahoma tribes ... AND the many different groups who have brought their cultural richness to Oklahoma from Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Europe!

Our presentations offer a platform for cultural representatives. Some of them may present at the Oklahoma Bar Association Center and Oklahoma Judicial Center on Monday June 13, 2016. We are a non-partisan agency and do not endorse any platform.

How can you participate in the Multicultural Family Fair at St. Gregory's University?
Sunday June 12, 2016 1-5 p.m.

Does your tribe or cultural group wish to:
Have an art display
Display clothing or historical objects
Teach others about your language or history
Tell stories about your culture
Host a group of dancers or other performance
Make tasty treats to share with people who come to the event
Other activity

Participating cultural representatives will need to reserve the following for this event:

FIELDHOUSE
10' x 10' wall space (limited wall space--reserve ASAP--hanging apparatus for artwork not provided)
72" x 30" table
20 minute time slot for dance, music, drumming etc. performances

SARKEYS THEATRE
20 minute time slots for storytelling and sharing cultural legacies

Please let us know if you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution so that we may offset our overhead costs for this event which will include air-conditioning, custodial assistance, bottled water, lemonade and snacks - an estimated $3000.

Participating cultural groups will need to advertise within their groups. We will provide a press packet for this purpose.
