AST Health Closure for Run-Off Election 6/15

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Closure for AST Run-Off Elections

In accordance with the Executive Committee, the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System (Same Day Clinic, PlusCare, both Pharmacies incl’d.) and Resource Center’s Fitness Gym will be CLOSED for AST Tribal Run-Off Elections on Saturday, June 15, 2019

Diabetes & Wellness Cooking Demo 7/11

ASTHS 6th Annual Health Fair

This is always a fun and exciting time for AST Health! Join us for a day aimed at giving you the tools to stay healthy. The Health Fair will be on Friday, July 12th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Little Axe Health Center.

Upcoming Event: Youth Fishing Clinic 6/8

The Absentee Shawnee Tribe's Native Connections grant will be hosting a free youth fishing clinic on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Lake Thunderbird's Clear Bay area.  Poles and bait will be provided on the day of the event, children under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.  For more infomration or to sign up for the event, please contact Margo at 405.701.7995

Beaded Earrings Class 5/21

The AST Cultural Preservation Department is hosting a beading class. Participants will learn how to make beaded earrings. Event wil take place on Friday, May 21st at the AST Resource Center in Little Axe, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Reserve your spot by calling Cultural Preservation at 405.275.4030.

Diabetes Cooking Demonstation 4/11

The AST Diabetes and Wellness Program presents a healthy tailgate food cooking demo on Thursday, January 10th at 2 PM at the Little Axe Health Center's Diabetes Kitchen. 1st Wednesday Health Monthly Meeting Closure Jan. 2nd

ASTHS administrative half-day is Wednesday, January 2nd (first Wednesday of the month) and all AST Health facilities are closed from noon to 5 PM for trainings, departmental meetings and administrative tasks. Both the PlusCare and Shawnee Same Day Clinics will re-open at 5 PM to 9 PM, accepting the last patient at 8:30PM.

New Year's Health Closing

The Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will be open on Monday, December 31st for normal business hours. PlusCare and Same Day Clinic will have limited hours, beginning at 9am to 7pm, accepting the last patient at 6:30pm. The ASTHS will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1st, 2019 for New Year's Day. PlusCare Clinic will be available this day from 9am to 5pm, accepting the last patient at 4:30pm. 

Absentee Shawnee Tribal Children's Christmas Cards

The Absentee Shawnee Tribe will provide to its youngest citizens a gift card and to the first 100 children, a movie pass courtesy of Governor Edwina Butler-Wolfe on Monday, December 10th in Shawnee at the Title 6 building from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM and then 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.  Distribution will also occur December 11th through January 18, 2019 during those same schedule hours but at the AST Finance department.  Must present an updated CDIB card and to update, please contact the AST Enrollment Office beforehand.   Out-of-state AST child citizens will be mailed a gift card only.  For more infor

Christmas 2018 Holiday Closings Announced

The 2018 Christmas holiday scheduled closings for the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System has been announced and the health system will be closed Monday, December 24th and Tuesday, December 25th, this includes the PlusCare Clinic, so staff may enjoy the holiday with their families.  The Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health will be closed Wednesday, December 26th except the PlusCare Clinic.  PlusCare will be open holiday hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM accepting the last walk-in patient at 4:30 PM.   PlusCare is located at 15702 East State Highway 9, Norman, OK 73026.  Phone number is (405)447-047

Thanksgiving Holiday 11/21-23

The Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will be closing at noon on Wednesday, November 21st for the annual AST employee dinner, however the PlusCare and Shawnee Clinic walk-in services will remain open and will close at 5:00 PM accepting the last patient at 4:30 PM so staff may enjoy time with their families.    On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22nd, all of AST Health will be closed.  Friday, November 23rd, PlusCare will be open holiday hours from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM while remaining health facilities will be closed.  PlusCare and Shawnee Clinic walk-in services will resume normal
