This 8 hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide support to adolescents. It's that time of year again. At Little Axe Health Center, we're helping out with free dental and vision screenings, and free sports physicals for all kids under the age of 18. The event is open to ALL RESIDENTS of the Little Axe community and surrounding areas. Enjoy refreshments and goody bags for attendees (supplies are limited). So get here early, get the kids ready to go and let us take care of you! 
This is always a fun and exciting time for AST Health! Join us for a day aimed at giving you the tools to stay healthy. The Health Fair will be on Friday, July 12th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Little Axe Health Center.
The Absentee Shawnee Tribe's Native Connections grant will be hosting a free youth fishing clinic on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Lake Thunderbird's Clear Bay area.  Poles and bait will be provided on the day of the event, children under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.  For more infomration or to sign up for the event, please contact Margo at 405.701.7995
The AST Cultural Preservation Department is hosting a beading class. Participants will learn how to make beaded earrings. Event wil take place on Friday, May 21st at the AST Resource Center in Little Axe, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Reserve your spot by calling Cultural Preservation at 405.275.4030.
The semi-annual Absentee Shawnee General Council has been slated for Saturday, April 20, 2019 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the ASTHS-Shawnee Clinic's Multi-purpose building at 2029 South Gordon Cooper Drive, Shawnee, OK.  This tribal business meeting is for enrolled tribal citizens ages 18 and up. 
The Absentee Shawnee Tribe will be hosting its annual Easter egg hunt for tribal citizens on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the AST complex, 2025 South Gordon Cooper Drive, Shawnee, OK.  Lunch is to be provided.
The Absentee Shawnee Tribe Election Commission will be holding its annual Primary Election on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the tribal complex and AST Resource Center. The Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System, including Same Day Clinic, PlusCare Clinic and Resource Center's Fitness Gym will be closed for Primary Election.
The Little Axe Health Center has partnered with the Oklahoma Blood Institute for a blood drive on Monday, March 11th from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  To schedule an appointment to donate, please call the LAHC administration desk at 405.447.0300.  Donors will receive a limited edition Bigfoot t-shirt and a coupon for a honey butter chicken biscuit from Whataburger, while supplies last.  Little Axe Health Center is located at 15951 Little Axe Drive, Norman, OK 73026.
