The Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will be open normal business hours on Friday, February 23, 2018.  The PlusCare Clinic and Shawnee Clinic Same Day/walk-in services will also be open normal business hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM accepting the last patient at 8:30 PM.  
Due to the unfavorable weather and road conditions for Thursday, February 22, 2018, the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will be closed.  This closure is to include the PlusCare Clinic, Shawnee Clinic Same Day Extended Hour walk-in services and both tribal pharmacies.  We apologize for the inconvience, we must consider the travel safety of both our patients and health employees to our rural locations.  Please continue to check the AST Health website or Facebook at Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health or Absentee Shawnee Little Axe Health Center for the latest information about potential opening delays or complete closures.  It is also encouraged to call prior to driving to any one of our health facilities.  Little Axe Health Center 405.447.0300, Shawne Clinic 405.878.5850 or PlusCare Clinic 405.447.0477

The Absentee Shawnee Tribe and the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will be closed beginning at noon on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.  This is due to the severity of weather conditions which has moved into the local area.  The closure will affect walk-in services for PlusCare Clinic and Shawnee Clinic Extended Hours.   These services will also be closed tribal at noon.  For Absentee Shawnee Tribal members only, if you have questions regarding an immediate illness, the nurse phone line is availabe if you have questions at 405.447.0300 and please follow the voice prompts.   In the event of future predicted severe weather forecast(s), please call ahead for health system delays or closures.  Little Axe Health Center at 405.447.0300, Shawnee Clinic & Shawnee Clinic Same Day/Extended Hours at 405.878.5850 or Plus Care Clinic at 405.447.0477

In observance of the federal holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the AST Health System will be closed Monday, January 15, 2018.  However, the PlusCare Clinic will be open on this day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, accepting the last walk-in patient of the day at 4:30 PM.   PlusCare is a non-emergent (one-time occurance or short term illness/injury), walk-in clinic providing services for Absentee Shawnee Tribal members and Indian Health Service eligible Native Americans who are the ages of 2 years and up. If you are a new patient, please view the website for necessary documentation to bring with you.  PlusCare is located at 15702 East State Highway 9, Norman, OK  73026 and the phone number is 405.447.0477.
The 2018 holiday schedule has been released for the Absentee Shawnee Tribe.  The Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will be closed Monday, January 1, 2018 and Tuesday, January 2, 2018.  The PlusCare Clinic will be open on both of these days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM accepting the last patient at 4:30 PM.  PlusCare Clinic is located at 15702 East State Highway 9, Norman, OK  73026 and phone number is 405.447.0477.
All of AST Health, including the evening walk-in services provided by the PlusCare Clinic and Shawnee Clinic Extended Hours, will close at 4:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2017.  This announcement is due to the expected decline of weather conditions for the surrounding areas.  Please remain weather aware and have a safe and happy holiday.
All Absentee Shawnee Tribal Complex offices in Shawnee, OK, will not be open until 1:00 PM on Monday, December 18, 2017.  This includes the Shawnee Clinic (building 17) and Shawnee Clinic Administration, Physical Therapy and Contract Health Services (building 16) and Building Blocks II Daycare.   Tribal officials recieved notice from the City of Shawnee's Municipal Authority that all water will be shut off during the morning hours for repairative work.  This notice does not apply to the Little Axe Health Center nor PlusCare.  Little Axe facilities will be open normal business hours.
On Tuesday, December 26, 2017, all AST Health facilities will be closed except the PlusCare Clinic.  They will be open holiday hours from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.  accepting the last walk-in patient at 4:30 P.M.  Location address is 15702 East State Highway 9, Norman, OK, and the phone number is 405.447.0477.
The 2017 Christmas holiday scheduled closings for the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will be Sunday and Monday, December 24-25, 2017, including the PlusCare Clinic and Shawnee Clinic Extended Hour walk-in services.   For Tuesday, December 26, 2017, all AST Health facilities will be closed except the PlusCare Clinic.  They will be open holiday hours from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.  accepting the last walk-in patient at 4:30 P.M.
