January Cooking Demo

Dental Screening & Preventative Service (Ages 0-3)

During the month of December on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays the Little Axe Dental Clinic will be providing a screening and fluoride application preventative service for all children ages 0-3.

On those particular days no appointment is necessary for the service, but you can reserve a time by calling the Dental Department.

If your child has a well child visit scheduled at LAHC on any of the above days in December, please stop by and see us prior to their appointment for their preventative services. This service takes just a few minutes to complete.

Pharmacy Refill Reminder

A gentle reminder to call in your prescriptions refills before the Thanksgiving holiday closure to prevent Rx delay. We have a couple simple and convenient ways to do this.

You may call your designated Rx fill/pickup AST Health Pharmacy Refill Line. Little Axe Health Center Pharmacy 405.292.9530 or Shawnee Clinic Pharmacy 405.878.5859 and follow the refill prompts.

Special Announcement: Thanksgiving Holiday Closure

Wednesday, November 27th: ALL AST Health facilities will be closed at NOON.

Thursday, November 28th (Thanksgiving Day), ALL AST Health facilities closed.

Friday, November 29th, Shawnee Clinic & Little Axe Healh Center will be closed. PlusCare will be available from 9 AM to 5 PM, accepting the last patient at 4:30 PM for acute illness or injury.

Shawnee Walk-In Clinic and PlusCare will reopen at 5 PM to 8 PM, accepting the last patient at 7:30 PM.

AST Behavioral Health Grants are hosting a Christmas Market Arts & Craft Sale on Friday, December 6th from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Health Multipurpose Bldg. in Shawnee. This is always a great event and you don't want to miss out on some beautiful hand-made Native American items, just in time for Christmas. Naloxone Training

Opioid overdose is life-threatening and requires immediate emergency attention. Recognizing the signs of opioid overdose is essential to saving lives. AST Health Tribal Opioid Response (TOR) Grant is hosting a Naloxone Training on Wednesday, Nov. 13th, 2019 from 4:30 PM to 6 PM at the AST Health Multipurpose Bldg in Shawnee. Participants will receive a lifesaving NARCAN kit (while supplies last). Be the change and learn an informative way to help potentially save a life.
